THE GROCER VINCENZO BELLINI IN POVOLARO
The grocer Vincenzo Bellini in Povolaro was founded in 1888 by the noble Peter Sacks. The first group to meet the religious needs and to cheer up some moments in the life of the community, over time becomes, thanks to his determination and dedication, the status of an institution. Able to receive and collect inside different persons, but United by the passion for music and folklore, with its almost unbroken complex activities gained fame throughout Italy, always standing out for its quality and its capacity.
In recent decades the grocer even managed musically to evolve, bringing its repertoire from tradition to modernity, always fast to the belief that the band is a popular medium for the dissemination of music.
The headquarters of the group is the wonderful and enviable architectural complex of Villino Rossi, who, besides being the seat of our grocer, is also at the heart of the activities of the community of Povolaro.
The band is currently directed by Master Conrad Van.
