Concert with organist Elisa Pan, a professor at the Conservatory of Reggio Calabria

Thursday, 9 August 2018 an exciting organ concert will star the talented Elisa Pan, a professor at the Conservatory of Reggio Calabria.

The concert will be held at the parish church of Roana, beginning at 20.45 hours.

ELISA PAN

Born in Bologna in 1978, in 2002 she graduated in organ and organ composition under the guidance of Maestro Wladimir Matesic; two years later he finished with an excellent result two years of specialization in romantic music held by M° Ben van Oosten at the Conservatory of Rotterdam (NL). Later, in CodArts Research Centre 2004-2005 has teamed up with Research, based in Rotterdam, deepening the contemporary organ repertoire, and in 2007 he received his Bachelor degree in organ at the Conservatory "b. Maderna "of Cesena, with highest honors, specialising in early music and organ improvisation.

He followed master classes with teachers such as organ literature t. van Eck, j. Verdin, d. Roth, k. Lueders, n. Hakim, z. Szathmary, s. Rattini. He won accolades in various organ competitions, including third prize at the 26th Edition of the International organ competition "Valentino Bucchi" of Rome and first prize (silver plate of the President of the Republic) to Go contest National organ "Godfrey Gandhi" in Rome.

In Bologna is Secretary of the Association musicale «Fabio da Bologna "and since 2005 he has been Artistic Director of the organ festival" Music at the Annunziata ". He has produced various CDs for labels Videoradio, Mascioni, Institut Gouvy, Les Amis de l'orgue de Vézelise and DiPaSt of the University of Bologna; in 2018 the complete organ music by Pietro Alessandro Yon that Elisa has recorded for Tactus. He has performed throughout Europe, in particular by promoting the French symphonic music and improvisation.

The activity of musician, Elisa Pan has always supported the musicologist: in 2001 she graduated from the Department of music and performing arts in Bologna with full marks and honours. The following year he obtained the Diploma of thorough studies with honors at the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV); Finally, in June 2005 he completed a PhD in music history and musicology at the University of Paris IV and Bologna with a dissertation on Théodore Dubois, composer and organist in his day, getting justice "très honorable avec félicitations du jury ". Acted as rapporteur in seminars organized at Paris IV and at conferences of international studies in Italy, Germany, Belgium, England, France. He has written several articles on musicology for Italian, French and German magazines. From 2001 to 2007 he held a course of music literacy at the Department of music and performing arts in Bologna.

He taught organ at the Conservatory "l. Refice" Conservatory in Frosinone and G.F. Ghedini "di Cuneo. Severals masterclasses on French romanticism at the conservatories of monopolies and of Frosinone. By 2015 he teaches organ at the Conservatory "f. Cilea" in Reggio Calabria.
