GOAL: Cima Portule - Altopiano dei Sette Comuni
One of the highest peaks of the Vicenza mountains, it allows you to appreciate one of the most panoramic and evocative "balconies" of the entire plateau and to meet numerous remains of military works of the 1915 – 18 war in an environment rich in flora and fauna.
It starts from Rifugio Larici and then climbs through a high-altitude forest that leads us to the upper area, where the mountain pine dominates. The climb, certainly not easy, makes you enjoy the conquest of the summit at every step and arrived at 2307 m you will forget about this effort. From the long ridge we will be able to discover the peculiarities of animal and plant life above the limit of vegetation and to discover how climate change is also altering the balance of this environment.

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 5 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a ring and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths. The difference in altitude uphill is less than 750 m, for a stretch you walk along the ridge of the mountain ..
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, PACKED LUNCH.
