The looks of the Memory
Presentation of Julius Valente:
The central idea of view comes a couple of years ago when, photographing the eyes of some people, I realized that inside the eye was reflected as in a mirror image of what they were looking at.
The project, launched on the occasion of the centenary of the great war, combines history, culture and photography, to create a special view that recounts in chronological order, the most important events of World War I in Plateau seen through the eyes of the people.
Current pictures of places the protagonists of the great war reflected in the eyes of seniors, adults and children compared with historical pictures of the same places after the major battles, so that even new generations can see and understand what they have lived and seen with his own eyes the past generations.
In the project I would like to sincerely thank thehistorical and Cultural Association "South facing seven municipalities Plateau" for collaboration, and David Spiller Wassagruba for the valuable historical reconstruction of the events.
