On Saturday 1 February , the Biosphaera Guides organize an astronomical snowshoe hike on Mount Verena, with a typical dinner at the Verena Refuge.
Starting from Casara di Campovecchio through a forest road that crosses a spruce forest, you reach Croce del Civello.
From here, leave the area of the mountain huts on the right and begin to follow the military mule track which, passing through some ruins and war remains, leads to Fort Verena, from which the first shot of the entire First World War was fired on the Italian front, which can be visited (subject to snow conditions).
Once at the nearby Rifugio Verena, you can enjoy a typical dinner (à la carte menu).
You will now descend to the starting point following the track next to the ski slopes, accompanied by the stars.
The excursion will be led by Francesca Mor, Environmental Hiking Guide and biologist.
In case of no snow, the excursion will still take place, without the use of snowshoes.
