GOAL: Monte Corno - Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
De-siderare was the term used by the ancients to indicate the gesture of observing the sky and entrusting to it the most intimate and profound thoughts ... And even today we also want to live with you the magic that these experiences give.
An easy path through the high altitude pastures, leads us to one of the most boundless views towards the Po Valley, a position from which you can also see the Venice Lagoon on clear days. Here we will also have the opportunity to raise awareness on the issue of light pollution and to admire the profound contrast between the illuminated Po Valley and the dark mountain sky.
The guide, passionate amateur astronomer will entertain you with many scientific and mythological curiosities about the winter sky that always makes us dream.
At the end it will be possible to dine with friends at the Baita Monte Corno with a typical menu that includes:
Gargati alla baita (meat and mushroom sauce)
Gulash with polenta
Wine, Water, Coffee
Reservations are required.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads.
The difference in height uphill is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, front battery possibly with fixed red light.
COST: 15€ for the guided excursion per person, 5€ for children under 15 years.
Possible snowshoes and poles rental: € 10 per person.
COST OF DINNER at Baita Monte Corno € 25 per person.

MEETING PLACE: 5.30 pm at the Baita Monte Corno car park.
It is advisable not to follow the GMap navigator as it indicates roads closed to traffic as ski slopes. Follow the following indications: From Asiago follow direction Bassano, pass through Loc. Puffele, take the SP Lusianese towards Lusiana and at the first junction turn right towards Monte Corno. Then continue for about 10 minutes
It starts on foot from the meeting point.
