On Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026, Lusiana will host the 27th edition of Pomo Pero, the long-awaited autumn event dedicated to the enhancement and recovery of ancient varieties of apples and pears. For an entire weekend, the town will become a meeting place for biodiversity, local products, rural culture, handicrafts and activities for young and old.
The heart of the event will be the Exhibition of Ancient Varieties of Apples and Pears of Lusiana and its surroundings, set up at the Secretary's House and curated by the Opfel on Pira Association in collaboration with Veneto Agricoltura and with the involvement of young people and students from the area. An exhibition with over 100 ancient varieties of apples and pears, precious testimony of an agricultural heritage that Pomo Pero has been helping to make known and preserve for years.
The market of typical local products will also return to the streets of Lusiana, where you can find apples and trees of ancient varieties, potatoes from Lusiana and Rotzo, honey from the Seven Municipalities, cheeses from the Plateau , mountain fruit and vegetables , artisanal preserves, cider, apple juice and numerous other specialties. There will be no shortage of exhibitions and handicrafts.
Taste will be one of the great protagonists of the weekend. Among the proposals there will be hot pancakes of local apples, juice made from ancient local varieties, apple strudel and the Lusianjito cocktail, as well as food stands with sandwiches, cold dishes, local chestnuts and other delicacies. Throughout the month of October, moreover, in the participating restaurants of the area it will be possible to find menus based on apples and pears.
Pomo Pero will also be an opportunity to get closer to nature and biodiversity through experiences designed for all ages. The program includes workshops for children and teenagers, activities dedicated to the world of bees and pollinators, board games, demonstrations, shows, live music and cultural initiatives.
Among the appointments on Sunday 11 October, the walk "The colors and fruits of autumn, discovering our centuries-old apples and pears, among the Ancient Patriarch Trees" also stands out, an excursion of about three hours that will allow you to get to know the rural landscape of Lusiana and some of its oldest trees more closely.
To enrich the two days there will then be traveling shows, popular traditions, open museums and initiatives dedicated to local history. An articulated program that makes Pomo Pero not only an exhibition dedicated to ancient fruit, but an opportunity to discover the territory of Lusiana and the Asiago Plateau through its products, its knowledge and the autumn landscape.

The Magical World of Bees, an interactive space where, thanks also to an educational hive, it will be possible to closely observe the life of the hive, touch, smell and discover the important role of wild pollinators in the environment and in the agro-ecosystem. In line with the spirit of the initiative, the Veneto Regional Beekeepers Association will distribute plant seeds useful to bees and other pollinators - by the Veneto Regional Beekeepers Association.

Participants are asked to dress appropriately for the hilly autumn climate (boots, raincoat, water bottle, etc.). Cost €5 per person to be paid directly on departure, no reservation is required.
In case of bad weather, the walk will be canceled by giving notice on the same day on the social profiles of the Pomo Pero.
