The time has finally come for the delivery of the Mario Rigoni Stern literary prize for multilingual literature in the Alps, founded in 2010 on the initiative of the Veneto Region, the Municipality of Asiago and the Autonomous Province of Trento, two years after the death of the Asian writer, to honor his memory and testimony in defense of the natural and cultural heritage of the mountain.

A first award ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, September 18 , 2021 at 10:30 am at Palazzo Labia, in Venice. Here we will talk about  "Ecology and literature in the work of Mario Rigoni Stern and Andrea Zanzotto" (report by Nicolò Scaffai of the University of Siena and testimonies of contemporary writers).

A second award ceremony will be held the next day, Sunday 19 September, at the Teatro Millepini in Asiago. The start is always scheduled for 10:30 am. Here we will examine " The role of Mario Rigoni Stern in the Italian literature of the '900" (with a report by Antonio Daniele of the University of Padua and testimonies of contemporary writers).

This is not only the final and most important phase of the 2021 edition of the Mario Rigoni Stern prize for multilingual literature of the Alps, but it is also a moment of meeting, reflection and tribute to the great writer of Asiago and to the themes that in all his books he has addressed, making them literary heritage capable of crossing the borders of the Italian language and of our country.

To present the event will be Valentina Berengo, writer, editor and also creator of the literary review L'anima cólta dell'ingegnere and the radio column of reading tips PBS - Personal Book Shopper.
