Aperitif with author Marco Venturino in collaboration with the library Giunti Al Punto di Asiago
On Saturday, August 24, 2019,on the occasion of the exhibition "Aperitif with the Author" organized by the Library Joint to the Point of Asiago, the author Marco Venturino will present his book "Life so suddenly".
The meeting will begin at 5.30 p.m.,at the Central Stage located in Piazza II Risorgimento, under the conduct of Professor. Louis of Agrò.

LIFE SO SUDDENLY
Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Three days like so many. Three days like so many for Professor Federico de Alessandri, famous surgeon and esteemed professional. Three days like so many for the young Claudio Improta, young assistant of the professor, looking for his place in the operating room and in life. Three days like so many also for Dr. Ettore Rossi, experienced, lonely, disenchanted anesthesiologist. And for Stefania Aloisio, a nurse instrumentalist, with a complicated and sentimentally difficult existence. Three different days, however, for Sergio, owner of the Gandini butchers and tireless worker, never a sick day. That Monday, however, a delicate operation awaits him: the occasional response of an aneurysm of the ascending aorta has suddenly confined him to the world of the sick, and the serious. If you don't operate, the aneurysm can break at any moment, and it's gone. Federico, Claudio, Ettore, Stefania, will be the surgical team destined for Sergio. All four, during the surgery, will find themselves fighting strenuously for the salvation of the sick and together, with their different stories, with their dreams, hopes, insecurities and problems will become one thing for the survival of the patient, against fear, against an adverse destiny. But fate decides for itself and the future is not predictable. Just as that morning their five lives will converge at the operating table, five strands tightened to each other in a single knot of suture, so they will return to separate, each to follow their own fate. Because, after all, one's journey is accomplished, if not for short stretches, alone.
