Sunday, July 28, 2019,a new event of the exhibition "Aperitif with the Author" is scheduled, which like every summer is organized by the Library Giunti at the Point of Asiago.

History buffs (and more) will be able to witness the presentation of the book "Along blackpen" by the author Alfio Caruso,at the Central Stage located in Piazza IIResurgence.

The meeting will begin at 5.30 p.m. and will be moderated by Professor Paolo Pozzato.

It will be really interesting to retrace with the author the history ofthe Alps !

In case of bad weather the meeting will be held in the Board room

A LONG BLACK PEN

Italians keep in the vast chest of collective memory a story so noble and touching that it deserves to be told. It is a true story, made up of heroism and sacrifice, of pain and daring: it is the story of the alpines. Their body spirit is legendary, their discipline proverbial. Thousands have died to drive the Nazi invader out of our country. The most bitter and glorious pages of the liberation struggle bear their name. From the snow-capped peaks of the Alps to the hostile buttoclations of Afghanistan, at the dawn of the 21st century the alpines are still the best specialist corps in Italy, the most popular, the most loved, the one in which the whole nation finds unwavering support, even in times of peace, in the knowledge that at every juncture, however dramatic, it will always be able to count on black feathers and their stubborn courage. As one mountaineer said in the most dramatic moments of the battle of Nikolaevka: "We have not been afraid so far, we will not have it now. We cried, we fought, we starved. We are the mountaineers, we will not stop right now."
