On Friday, August 13, 2021,at the Palace of Culture and Tourism in Enego will be held the presentation of the book "Research of the Cimbri Federation 7 Municipalities".
The presentation,curated by the Cimbra Federation 7 Municipalities, will start at 17:00.
RESEARCH BY THE CIMBRI FEDERATION 7 MUNICIPALITIES
Translated for the first time into Italian, by the 'Cimbri Federation 7 Comuni', today the work of the great German glottologo Johann Andreas Schmeller (Tirschenreuth 1785 - Munich 1852) 'Über die sogenannten Cimbern der VII und XIII Kommunen auf den Venedischen Alpen und ihre Sprache', 'On the so-called cimbri of the Seven and Thirteen municipalities of the Venetian Alps and their language', the first scientific study of the Cimbra language ever carried out. Presented for the first time to the scientific community in 1834 in Munich, with a great report to the Royal Academy of Sciences in Bavaria, and then printed in German in 1838, it is the result of the journey of the father of German dialectology in 1833 on our Highlands of Lavarone, the VII and the XIII Municipalities. In this way, the poems, prayers, nursery rhymings and songs can still resonate with us, that is, the words used by our ancestors at that time: they still speak to us, subtly but authentically, about the worldview and life proper to our cimbra culture,and at the same time tell us about its ancient origin.
