Friday, May 5, 2017 at 20.30 at the Council Hall of the Palazzon of Lusiana, on theplateau of Asiago, will present the book "Great American War in Italy. Birth of a superpower"by f. Brazzale, l. Cabanero and a. Vollman.
A dialogue with the authors will be Andrea Vollman.
The evening is organized on the occasion of the centenary of the great war, which is affecting the area of the plateau.
GREAT AMERICAN WAR IN ITALY
It all began on April 6, 1917, with the Declaration of war on Germany. By intervening in World War I, the United States of America released their enormous economic potential, military and technological fields, marking the birth of a "superpower".
Under the political guidance of President Wilson and the military command of General Persching, the giant stars and stripes proved crucial to the outcome of the conflict, despite the almost complete initial unpreparedness of their armed forces, compared to European Nations.
