Presentation of the book "the STORY of PREM without fear," Asiago, August 4, 2016

Thursday August 4, 2016, at 17.30, at the Council Chamber of Asiago, will present the book "the STORY of PREM without FEAR" by Erik Umberto Pretto.

The book is written entirely in Venetian language and tells the story of Prem, Alpine during the Second World War.

The meeting will be an opportunity to spend an evening together, full of history and culture.

THE STORY OF PREM WITHOUT FEAR

The book "Joanìn de Ła history without fear – memoirs de un Alpin de ła Second Guera Mondiałe" collects the historical record of Christmas Turcato told John (born in Roseburg on 12/17/1919), who was the Italian Army during World War II and later military boarding school in Nazi concentration camps.

The opera was founded by a nephew of Christmas, which began a few years ago to gather as closely as possible the memories of his grandfather in fear that time dispersed them forever. These stories, read initially in random order and subsequently reordered chronologically, were transcribed in Venetian language, as well as the author was fortunate enough to hear them.

The result is a smooth, pleasant reading, tale enriched by various photographs and some valuable historical documents.

The book is organized into a series of consecutive short chapters, autonomous between them, each of which discusses an episode in the life of the protagonist. This choice makes the narrative story very agreeable, and possibly allows the reader to scroll through the entire volume to dwell only on paragraphs deemed most interesting.

Recommended by the jury of the literary "Dahar" 2011 mountain literature and winner of 3° prize at the international literary contest "Mario Donadoni" prose in 2012 for the Venetian language, then the text was used for the production of the reading by the professional Ensemble Theater Company Vicenza theater.
