The traditional feast of Prunno Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Asiago
Like every year at Asiago, the August 16 (day of Saint Roch) will take place the traditional Prunno Festival, a day of joy among nature and forest Queens.
The Festival takes place in Prunno Village, in the Park located across the street from Asiago goes towards Bassano del Grappa.
The plain of Prunno, located a few kilometres from the Centre of the country, is a place that has always been a point of reference for families of the area, for tourists and for all people wishing to spend a few pleasant hours in the name of peace.
Every year this event attracts many people eager to enjoy and have fun together.
As usual, from 14:30 to 19:00 will be offered various activities, games, entertainment, music and gastronomy.
The organisers, with many cheerful initiatives, involve the present until the evening, and then let them go to Piazza Duomo where will continue the party.
To 18:00 hours there will be an eagerly awaited election of the "Queen of the forest" and her bridesmaids, who at 21.00 will lead a parade from the Prunno to the Centre of Asiago aboard a train festively decorated for the occasion.
Much fun will be the election of the "Brutus del Bosco" which will challenge young males, between sympathy and a bit of bravado, for the conquest of the headband from the log splitter.
The Festival will end with the traditional fireworks display.
