Traditional village feast with Rubbio celery on the Asiago plateau

The Sagra del Sedano di Rubbio back on theAsiago plateau from Thursday 8 to Sunday September 11, 2016 for four days full of flavor and fun.

The protagonist of this tasty event that annually attracts a large number of people both from the Plateau from the plains of Bassano is one of the most famous typical products of our land: the sedano bianco di Rubbio.

The tasty and abundant present at the Festival with the food Stand are all made with this very fine and fine vegetable: one more opportunity that offers l' Plateau, to savor every traditional dish.

The evenings will be alive with music, besides must-see football tournament.

  • Hours 15.00: SS mass with historical procession in honor of Mary as a child accompanied by Attilio Band Banda by Fontanelle;
  • Hours 17.00: prize-giving ceremony of the best Rubbio celery;
  • Hours 20.30: dancing with the orchestra show Roger the voice of Sun.

"Walk around Rubbio" with a visit to the Cave paintings and Trinceroni, edited by "friends of the Earth of Conco".
It is expected to pay an individual ticket from the participants of 2 euros, to individual insurance, we recommend that you dress appropriately. Duration 4 hours. Dinner is available at the food stand of the Festival.

RUBBIO CELERY – Product De.Co.

A thousand meters above sea level the celery has a season of her own: once sowed with jackets protected from late January to March; Today the seedlings come from nurseries and are planted in the ground well worked and composted cattle manure or equine, as soon as the weather gives idea of having quieted, between May and June. In summer the celery grows without the need for much, because it mostly just the dew at night to cool the soil; the same is true of other adversities, diseases and pests, which have fewer incidences thanks to mountain climate. Thus the time of bleaching, operation consisting in cover of land up to a certain height rib of celery, so away from light can stay clear and crisp. Rubbio celery features are precisely the costa Blanca, tenderness and delicate flavor.
