Also this year, in the heart of the magnificent Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, Gallio is preparing to host an event that celebrates the traditions, nature and flavors of a land rich in history and charm.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September 2023, in the beautiful center of the plateau will be held, in fact, "SCARGAR MALGA" an event dedicated to the millenary tradition of transhumance enriched by educational and cultural activities.
It will be a weekend of taste and tradition, which will start on the afternoon of Saturday 23 September with the opening of the " Best Mountain Honey" competition. Don't miss the opportunity to taste the alpine honey and vote for your favorite! Meanwhile, Piazza Italia will become a real outdoor stage with the exhibition-market of local beekeepers and an exhibition of goats, symbols of mountain pasture.
But that's not all: for the little ones, there will be educational workshops in Piazza VI Alpini, while adults can participate in workshops on honey.
The day will culminate with the presentation of the project "Life Vaia" and with the screening of the film "In questo mondo" by Anna Kauber.
Sunday will be equally rich, with the exhibition-market of local beekeepers and highland huts and workshops for adults and children. And at 15:00, the long-awaited moment: the arrival of the Busafonda malga transhumance in Piazza Italia, followed by a small refreshment for the malghesi.
The day will end with a Masterclass on mountain cheeses and local honey, and finally, the awards ceremony on the main stage.
For the duration of the event, it will also be possible to visit the photographic exhibition "Tornemo casa! Cows and people on the move!" curated by Roberto Costa Ebech and participate in the excursion "NDEMO... to Scargar Malga!" edited by Asiago Guide.
And for gourmets, local restaurants will offer a menu dedicated to the event, where you can taste the typical dishes of the area in a convivial and festive atmosphere.
Do not miss the opportunity to experience a weekend full of activities, flavors and traditions. We are waiting for you in Gallium to celebrate together the magic of transhumance and the riches of our land!
