On Friday 28 February , the Biosphaera Guides organize a snowshoe hike on Mount Katz, on the occasion of Schella Martz.
Schella Martz is an ancient rite, which translated into Italian means "Ring March", to awaken spring.
Starting from Val Giardini, where Mario Rigoni Stern lived, we will climb Mount Katz, the place where the end of winter was celebrated in the last century.
Thanks to some readings, you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this festival, with views of the Asiago basin; it will then end by going down to the center to watch the celebrations.
The excursion will be led by Luca Grotto, Environmental Hiking Guide and historian.
In case of no snow, the excursion will still take place, without the use of snowshoes.
