On the evenings of 26, 27 and 28 February 2022, in Asiago, the traditional festival of "Schella Marz" or "Schella Marzo" returns!
This anniversary, which in Cimbrian means "Play March", has always been warmly celebrated on the Asiago Plateau to greet the winter: the hope, of adults and children, is for the hasty arrival of spring, a ritual to awaken nature after the long winter sleep and to say goodbye to the past season.
In Piazza II Risorgimento and through the streets of the center will take place the traditional parade of "bandoni" : children will walk around the squares of Asiago pulling bins tied together with iron wire and hitting them with wooden sticks, thus creating a nice hustle and bustle aimed at waking up spring. In addition, some people dressed as orcs, goblins and Zeleghen Baiblen (our native fairies) will appear.
Upon arrival in Piazza II Risorgimento, the group that has made the succession of cans and jars will be awarded the longest.
Monday, February 28, at 21:00, at the end of the party there will be the burning of the "vecia": a majestic puppet of wood and papier-mâché will be set on fire to symbolize the season that goes away. To set fire to the "vecia" will be the winner of the Schella Marz 2022.
Meeting all three evenings at 20:00 in Piazza II Risorgimento.
Teenagers, young people, children accompanied by parents, adults of the districts and streets of the city are invited to participate with the traditional rows of "BANDONI", CIOCHE and SCHELLE.

SUNDAY 27 FEBRUARY
Departure from Piazza II Risorgimento, Corso IV Novembre, Via Monte Cengio, Viale della Vittoria, Via Bertacchi, Via Fiume, Viale Matteotti, Via Garibaldi, Via J. Scajaro, Piazza G. Carli, Piazza II Risorgimento
MONDAY 28 FEBRUARY
Initially, only the rows of bins that will make the following route will start from Piazza II Risorgimento: Corso IV Novembre, Via F.lli Silvagni (which will be traveled against the hand), Via J. Scajaro, Piazza G. Carli, Piazza Mazzini, Viale Matteotti (Pesa Pubblica). At the intersection of the Pesa Pubblica the drivers of the bins will wait for the arrival of the Vecia, after which they will travel together Along Viale G. Matteotti, Viale G. Garibaldi, Corso IV Novembre, up to Piazza II Risorgimento
