On the evenings of 26, 27 and 28 February 2023, in Asiago, the traditional feast of "Schella Marz" or "Schella Marzo" returns!

This anniversary, which in Cimbrian means "Suona Marzo", has always been warmly celebrated on the Asiago plateau in the last days of February to greet winter: the hope of young and old is that spring arrives early, a ritual to awaken nature from the long winter sleep, to greet the past season and welcome the new.

The parade of the " bandoni " and the burning of the "vecia" await you! Come and make noise too!

THE PROGRAM

Sunday 26 and Monday 27 February 2023, from 20:00 — Traditional parade to bid farewell to winter at the Historic Center of Asiago

Tuesday 28 February 2023, from 20:00 — Final evening of the event and fire at the "Vecia"

SCHELLA COMPETITION REGULATIONS

Participating in the Schella Competition are all children, young people, children accompanied by parents or adults who are in possession of a row of "bandoni" prepared to be easily maneuverable during towing (exclusively manual), especially in curves, to avoid any obstacle and damage to cars parked on the sides of the road (everyone is responsible for their own row of bins).

The row of "Bandoni" must consist only of BIDONI, cans or other metal container. If the row contains "improper materials" (mufflers, furnace dog, sheet metal, headboards, etc.) the same will be excluded from the parade. However, the row must not exceed 15 meters in length and 2 meters in width.

The winner of the SCHELLA will be chosen by a special jury. Only those who participate in all three evenings of the Schella Marz can aspire to win the SCHELLA.
