Is the sequel to the 2008 film journey to the center of the Earth and, like its predecessor, is loosely based on a novel by Jules Verne: the mysterious island.
MOVIE PLOT
The young Sean, accompanied by his mother's husband Hank, goes in search of his grandfather Alexander who disappeared while exploring an island in the South Pacific Ocean is described in the book by Jules Verne.
The two arrive in Palau, and to reach the volcanic atoll using a helicopter ride given by Gabato and her daughter Kailani.
Sucked into a tornado, they manage to reach the island and find the grandfather.
He makes them share that on that land is the rule that usually small animals become enormous, and usually large ones become small.
Also the grandfather leads them to the lost city of Atlantis, where Hank discovers that the island will sink quickly into the water.
Hence the idea to go to reach the Nautilus home.
