DESTINATION: Monte Fior (Melette di Foza) - Asiago plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
Monte Fior and Monte Castelgomberto have among the most evocative trenches of the Asiago Plateau, part of which have been cleaned and made safe so they can be perfectly visited.
In this area, so bitterly scratched by the Great War, the natural beauty of the City of Rock stands out. Outcrops of red-ammonite limestone that create the so-called crowns, spectacular rock formations on which it is not uncommon to see marmots "lying in the sun"!
On the way back it is almost a must to stop at Malga Slapeur to greet the nice managers who remained among the few to still produce the anchor the authentic Asiago, that of sheep!

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths, restored war walkways and dirt roads crossing the high area of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The difference in height uphill is less than 800 m there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, PACKED LUNCH.
COST: 20€ for the guided excursion. 10€ for children under 15 years
