GOAL: Monte Ortigara - Asiago plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
Mount Ortigara is the mountain symbol of the Great War in the Plateau.
The distance from the countries, the harsh and long winters, the scarce arboreal vegetation, make perfectly visible the signs left by the two armies, deployed to fight each other up here at 2000 m more during the First World War.
The guide, reading today's landscape, will take you on a journey through the history of this place, first on the Italian side of the front and then on the Austrian one, so as to give you an experience in Nature full of emotions!
Reservations are required.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads crossing the high area of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The difference in height uphill is less than 600 m there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, PACKED LUNCH.
COST: 20€ for the guided excursion. 10€ for children under 15 years.
