Snowshoeing
Guided historical and naturalistic snowshoeing among the places of the Great War of the Upper Zone.

DESTINATION: Forte Verena - Altopiano dei Sette Comuni (VI)
Step by step we enter the fir and larch forest,where we will learn about the main species of plants of the upper area.
Here we follow the main road to the summit of Mount Verena (2020 m) from which you can enjoy an incredible 360-degree panorama,both on the Alpine Chain and on the Plain.
The imposing Forte Verena,an Italian war work ofthe First World War, hasdominated this peak for more than a hundred years. Its ruins make us take a dip in the past that takes us back to the first days of the war and to deepen the various aspects that characterized the "Warof theForts".
Together, in the quiet of the mountains, we can therefore "not forget" and feel even more grateful for these times of peace, with the tranquility and well-being that comes with it and we enjoy today.
Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
The route may be subject to variations due to the presence / absence of ice / snow but the difficulty and the theme will remain unchanged.
DIFFICULTY :we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a ring and does not present particular technical difficulties, there are no exposed sections. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in altitude uphill is less than 500 m.
TO TAKE WITH you: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, cap, packed lunch or you can buy lunch at Rifugio Verena.
COST: 20€ for the guided excursion. 5 € for children under 15 years.
Possible rental of snowshoes and poles: € 10 per person.

It starts on foot from the meeting place.
