SHOW "SHALOM in CANOVE," Jewish internees in Canove, 1 feb-May 5, 2015

ANPI the National Association of Partisans in Italy, theAltopiano dei Sette Comuni and the Proloco of Canove organize "Shalom in Canove" an exhibition in memory of the Jews interned in Roan municipality in the years ranging from 1941 to 1943.

The inauguration of the exhibition is scheduled for 18:00 hours of Sunday 1 February 2015 at the headquarters of Proloco of Canove and will last till Saturday 2 May 2015.

The direction is curated by Giorgio Spiller, the plateau is definitely a lover of these traditions which, unfortunately, are slowly fading.

During the Second World War, were about 600 Jews that the Italian Army raised in Yugoslavia to then distribute in the towns of Vicenza. Roana is a town that welcomed the highest number. A country in solidarity, as told in the January 25 Conference in Canove, where internees were able to find shelter. Many of them escaped the extermination, returned years later to thank those who had helped him survive.

The stories told throughout the duration of the exhibition from articles, photographs and whatnot are innumerable and all exciting and full of humanity. Many experience full of solidarity that do honor to the community ofHighland.
