PLOT OF THE BOOK "BACI DA POLIGNANO"

Ninella and Don Mimi have always loved each other, even though their lives have long taken different paths. As a young people, their families had opposed marriage, and their children Chiara and Damiano married instead. The years pass and in front of Don Mimi Ninella always remains a little girl. The arrival of a granddaughter, instead of approaching them, seems to have driven them even further away, not least because Matilda, the sour wife of Don Mimi, goes out of her way to be the favorite grandmother, spoiling beyond measure what everyone calls simply "the little girl". The situation suddenly changes when Matilda loses her head to Pasqualino, the family handyman. Mimi decides to go and live alone in the old town of Polignano: it is his great opportunity to find Ninella, but for some time he has accepted the court of a Milanese architect. With more than a hundred years in two, Ninella and Mimi resume a love skirmish with an uncertain outcome, between doubts, zucchini to the poor and escapes to the supermarket. Around them, irresistible characters in search of trouble: Chiara and Damiano and their daughter who commands them with a wand; Orlando and his "fake" girlfriend Daniela; Nancy and the dream of becoming the first Polygnanian influencer; Aunt Dora, who runs from "his" Veneto to redeem the disputed legacy of a trullo.
