META: Campi del Mandriolo - Asiago Plateau and Seven Municipalities (VI)

Snowshoeing, our steps through the Val Formica will be guided by the stars that create an evocative atmosphere around us. Thus we arrive at the Campi del Mandriolo, where at night our view can  range from the profiles of the surrounding mountains to the celestial vault that has a wonder in store for us.

On these nights, one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year, the Geminids, passes through . The meteors it gives rise to are bright and have intense colors and do not have a high velocity. 

The right opportunity to address our most secret desires to heaven! 

On the way back, we set up with the telescopes for an exciting experience of observing the planets and stars.

The guide, a passionate amateur astronomer , will entertain you with many scientific and mythological curiosities about the winter sky that always makes us dream. 

At the end of the excursion it will be possible to have dinner with friends at the Larici da Alessio Refuge with the following menu:

• First course of your choice
• Mixed grilled meat with side dishes
• Homemade treats
• coffee
• water and wine or soft drink included  in reasonable quantities (beer excluded)

In the event that there is not enough snow, you will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.

DIFFICULTY:  we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route runs through mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: waterproof mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, hot water or tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, gloves, headlamp possibly with a steady red light.

COST: €25 for the guided excursion with the use of telescopes per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders. Snowshoes and poles can be rented: €10 per person.

COST OF DINNER: at Rifugio Larici da Alessio 25€ per person for the above menu. Please indicate any intolerances/allergies at the time of booking.  

For children it is possible to arrange a menu for 15 € Option A: First course + Drink + Sweet Treat - Option B: Chop + Fried / Sausages + Fried / Frankfurters + Fried  + Drink + Sweet

The cost of the dinner must be paid directly on site at the restaurant.
