
On Sunday, February 2, 2025, Gallio will host the 11th edition of the Strafexpedition Winter Ghel, an unmissable sporting event for all mountain running enthusiasts.
This competition, which takes place in a natural snowy environment, allows participants to immerse themselves in the extraordinary views of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities, tackling technical and evocative routes. There are two routes:
- 10 km with 532 meters of elevation gain
- 20 km with 850 meters of elevation gain.
It will also be possible to take part in the event in its non-competitive formula, without having to present the medical certificate of competitive fitness. However, everyone will receive the special gadget of this edition: the personalized StrafeXpedition Winter cotton t-shirt. At the end of the race pasta party for all members.
A mix of sport, nature and adventure that guarantees guaranteed fun, both for experienced runners and for those who want to test themselves.

COMPETITIVE SECTION
According to the provisions of the "Rules for the organization of events", to validate registration for the competitive sections, only those in possession of the medical certificate of competitive fitness for athletics can participate, which must be sent together with the registration or bib collection.
NON-COMPETITIVE SECTION (recreational motor)
Those who are not in possession of the medical certificate of competitive fitness can still participate, the registration still includes the bib / chip with official arrival time and all the services described. Minors over 10 years of age can also participate (authorization from a parent or in any case from those exercising parental authority is required). Each participant is free to cover the route at the pace they deem most appropriate based on their physical state of preparation. By voluntarily registering, each participant declares to all intents and purposes to the organizers his or her physical fitness to carry out the test in accordance with the provisions of the law and relieves them of all civil and criminal liability resulting in the event of an accident of any kind. Athletes registered in the non-competitive section will not have the right to access the awards ceremony and will not be in the official race ranking but will only be told the race time.

REGULATION
art. 1 – Organization
The UISP Vicenza association in collaboration with the various local volunteer associations, organizes the eleventh edition of the StrafeX Winter Ghel Trail, a UISP-approved mountain race that will take place on Sunday 2 February 2025 in Gallio (Vi)
art. 2 – Acceptance of the regulations
The StrafeXpedition will take place in accordance with these regulations, and any changes and notices that will be published on the official website and on the Facebook page.
Participation in the StrafeX Winter implies the acceptance of these regulations in all its parts and without reservation.
Competitors are also required to comply with the highway code, in particular in the sections where the route crosses the ordinary road network, which will not be closed to vehicular traffic.
By registering, each competitor undertakes to comply with these regulations and frees the organizers from any civil or criminal liability for any accident or accident, for damage to persons or property derived from or caused by himself, which may occur during the event.
Art. 3 – Proof
Running on foot in a natural environment, which runs through paths, mule tracks and cart tracks along the paths of the Asiago Plateau. The route takes place on paths at an altitude between 1000 and 1500 meters.
art. 4 – Participation

art. 5 – Registration procedures
Registrations will be closed when a total of 500 participants are reached, registrations can be made online, here through the SPORT DOLOMITI platform or in affiliated shops, in the event that the registered competitor does not provide the sports medical certificate, he will be automatically registered in the NON-COMPETITIVE mode.
The payment of the registration includes:
– Bib with race chip – Gadget – Medical assistance – Refreshments on the route + final refreshment – Showers-changing rooms at the gym – Pasta Party
art. 6 – Reimbursement of registration fees
In the event of renunciation of participation, the bib number will be transferred to another competitor or the registration will be transferred to the next edition only if communicated no later than 10/01/2025
art. 7 – Compulsory material
By registering, each runner undertakes to carry the mandatory material listed below with him throughout the race:
- personal glass or water bottle or camel-bag (there are no glasses at the refreshment points);
- container with a minimum of 500cc. of water;
- mobile phone with saved emergency numbers;
- warm clothing: windbreaker, long-sleeved shirt, thermal blanket;
- Trail running shoes are strongly recommended;
Art. 8 – Safety and medical assistance
A rescue call post is established at the refreshment points. These seats are connected by radio or telephone with the race direction. Ambulances, Mountain Rescue and doctors will be present in the area.
The rescue posts are intended to bring assistance to all people in danger with the organization's own means or through affiliated bodies. Official doctors are authorized to suspend competitors judged unfit to continue the race. Rescuers are authorized to evacuate runners judged to be in danger by all means of their convenience.
In case of need, for reasons that are in the interest of the rescued person, only and exclusively at the discretion of the organization, the official rescue will be appealed, which will take over the direction of the operations and will deploy all appropriate means, including the helicopter. Any expenses deriving from the use of these exceptional means will be borne by the rescued person according to the regulations in force.
A runner who appeals to a doctor or rescuer submits to his authority and undertakes to respect his decisions.
Art. 9 – Control post and refuelling posts
The detection of competitors is carried out at all checkpoints or at refreshment points. Only runners with a clearly visible bib number have access to the refreshment points.
Art. 10 – Maximum authorized time and time barriers
The maximum time for the 20K is 4h, the 10K does not provide any maximum time.
In case of bad weather conditions and/or for safety reasons, the organization reserves the right to suspend the current race, delay the start, change the route or cancel the race, without prior notice.
The modification, suspension or cancellation of the race will not entitle competitors to any refund of the registration fee.
Art. 11 – Insurance
The organization takes out liability insurance for the entire period of the trial. Participation takes place under the full responsibility of the competitors, who waive any recourse against the organizers in the event of damages and further consequences that may occur after the race.
art. 12 – Image rights
Each competitor expressly waives the right to use the rights to the image during the test as well as waives any recourse against the organization, and its authorized partners, for the use made of his image.
art. 18 – Changes to the route or time barriers – Cancellation of the ride
The organization reserves the right to change the route or the location of the first aid and refreshment stations at any time, without prior notice. In the event of adverse weather conditions or for other reasons beyond the control of the organization and such as to put the safety of the competitors at risk, the start may be postponed or canceled, the route may be modified and shortened, the race may be stopped at any point of the route. The aforementioned changes will be made by the Jury, also after hearing the opinion of the safety managers and the medical team. The modification, suspension or cancellation of the race will not entitle competitors to any refund of the registration fee
Art. 20 – Insurance

At the time of registration, the runner signs a liability release form.
