As part of the calendar of "Su, in Malga!", the summer festival promoted by the Municipality of Gallio to enhance the culture of the mountain pastures, on Friday 18 July 2025, from 16:00 to 19:00, a special afternoon is scheduled at Malga Col del Vento, in Cesuna di Roana, with a guided excursion and final tasting.
Cesuna is one of the youngest villages of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities: here until a few centuries ago there were only mountain pastures. Among these there was also that of Bintekkele – the "windy hill" – so called because it was exposed at the intersection between the currents that rise from the plain and those that descend from the mountains. But for those who, by nature, wear something warm and soft – like sheep – the wind is certainly not a problem!
And right here, at Malga Col del Vento, it will be possible to learn about the life of the shepherd, listen to the stories of those who still guard these ancient practices, closely observe the Foza sheep - a native breed symbol of highland pastoralism - and meet other "hidden" protagonists of the mountain pastures such as sheepdogs and horses.
At the end, a tasting of genuine products from the malga will offer a tasty taste of authenticity (with a contribution of € 5 per person).

The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths. The uphill elevation gain is less than 150 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒TO BRING ALONG: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat.
