As part of the calendar of "Su, in Malga!", the summer festival promoted by the Municipality of Gallio to enhance the culture of the mountain pastures, on Friday 11 July 2025, from 9:00 to 12:00, a unique experience is scheduled at Malga 7 Caliere - 1st Lot, in the green setting of Valmaron, to become "herdsmen for a day".
During the morning, in the company of Asiago Guides and the malghesi, participants will be able to attend a demonstration of the processing of milk directly in the pasture, with the transformation into sweet tosella, just as it was done in the past.
In some remote areas of the Plateau, it is still possible to meet shepherds and herdsmen who move with the tools of the trade – caliera, spino, fascere – carried on the back of the mule, changing pastures every day and producing cheeses in the heart of nature.
A small daily miracle that will be repeated in Valmaron: among grazing cows, ancient tools and skilled hands, the "primitive tosella", a symbol of the local dairy tradition, will take shape. All enriched by stories and explanations that will make this immersive experience even more special.

The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths. The uphill elevation gain is less than 150 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒TO BRING ALONG: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat.
