DESTINATION: Altarknotto (Rotzo) - Altopiano dei Sette Comuni (VI)
The Altar Knotto is a suggestive rock formation of the Asiago Plateau, located overlooking the Val d'Astico, whose shape recalls that of a large altar poised between heaven and earth.
It has always evoked more or less legendary stories that connect the nature of the place to the world of popular imagination.
The beauty of this site is due not only to the suggestive rock formations, but also to the lush flora that surrounds it, which quickly passes from the thermophilic plants of the ciglioni to the typically alpine vegetation of our mountains.
A walk through the beech woods and postcard views that accompanies us to discover the legends of the Cimbrian people and the ancient traditions of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni!

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 300 m, there are moderately exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat. Long trousers recommended.
COST: 15€, for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years.
