Reflections and analysis a year after the storm Vaia with presentation of the book "The Wind Pass" by Mauro Corona and Matteo Righetto
Wednesday 30 October 2019 at 9 pm will be held at the Palace of Canove di Roana (VI) " On thetrail of Vaia", a public evening that will lead to reflections and analysis on the previous and current environmental situation after the passage of"Vaia", the storm that hit our Plateau on October 28 last year.
The event was classified by the Veneto Crisis Unit as the worst natural disaster in recent years,caused by the wave of bad weather that hit the whole of Triveneto,followed by a very strong hot wind of syrup that, Blowing between 150 and 200 km/h for several hours, it crashed millions of trees,destroying thousands of hectares of woodland and alpine habitats.
The meeting was wanted by all the municipal administrations of the Plateau to raise awareness of the effects of current climate change and mountain biodiversity.
The event will be attended by Mauro Corona and Matteo Righetto who will present their new book "The Wind Pass", telling what the mountain represents for them through their personal experiences, with short tales, lightning epigrams and descriptions of natural and enchanting landscapes.
The evening, organized by the Municipality of Roana in collaboration with the Giunti library of Asiago and the logistical contribution of theTourist Association Pro Canove is free entry,without reservation, until exhaustion available seats.
