On Sunday, August 4, 2019, the appointment is renewed with the festival of Latterie Vicentine in Malga Pusterle in Roana (Val D'Assa road, heading for Passo Vezzena – loc. Ghertele). A day dedicated to families and mountain lovers who immersed themselves in nature will be able to have fun thanks to an initiative designed to enhance the centuries-old tradition of the pasture,which features theAsiago Plateau - a territory dedicated to the production of cow's milk cheeses since the 16th century. A tradition that the breeders of Latterie Vicentine have chosen to carry on, preserving biodiversity and the protection of the environment through activities such as cleaning meadows, trails, works of logging, all works that contribute to the prevention of hydrogeological failure.
The backdrop to Sunday in The Malaga will be in fact the picturesque landscape that surrounds Malga Pusterle, ideal setting for a program full of events that will start from the morning. Thereare free workshops, all day long: the Ecotopia association offers children activities onrecycling, while with the collective SbittArte you can have fun painting on ceramics . Also for the little ones there will be animated readings with The Fairies for fun and the ludobus. For adults, however, there will be a spontaneous herb workshop led by Antonio Cantele and the orienteering courses with Ski Orienteering Klubb.
At 11 a.m., journalist Gerardo Rigoni will entertain the public at the meeting "Tobacco smuggling, brigandism and the labile borders of the Plateau".
Casaro also returns for an hour with a triple shift (11.00, 14.00, 16.00), where you can learn how to produce acheese-shapedpickle, in full autonomy, with equipment provided by Vicentine Dairy. In the afternoon, the fresh yoghurt of the Bressanvido cooperative is provided. You can also have lunch at the farm and taste the typical products of the area such as the tosella,cheered by the music of Los Hermanos,or have a lot of lunch.
In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, August 11.
