FIRE IN THE HEART
"Fire in the heart" is a story about men and war, a history of the border looking for a common sense of belonging. But what is the boundary?
Every day and take advanced move the line that establishes membership to a local identity, and social policy. Displaced countries, alternating dominations, for those living in border areas.
For the soldiers at the front: offensive strategy against an enemy without name and without face, almost an abstract entity. Cross border parallel stories of men and women who have the urgency of a strong identity. And so the war collective loses centrality and enhances individual looks.
A Lieutenant of engineers telegraphers, two young soldiers and a displaced girl living the experience of war as humanity apprenticeship. They draw strength, refuge and self-awareness in relation with the other, whether it be a friend, a prostitute or a mule.
"Fire in the heart" is theatre and music: songs, instrumental and Sung live, come together in a word constant; the music becomes stage action and the word music.
The scenic writing is inspired by classical and contemporary texts, from "days of war" by Amy, "farewell to arms" by Hemingway, "the girl of the Mule" Cabeza Zandonella, "the great war of women" by Gualtieri, "soldiers and prostitutes" by Sema, until very recent "Legacy" of Gruber.
