Historically themed meeting about the battle of Mount Ortigara-gallium, Asiago plateau-August 3, 2017
Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 20.45, at the Council Chamber of Gallium, will hold a Conference on the theme "the battle of Ortigara", during which the expert Gianpaolo Marchetti will try to shed some light on that tragic event, which cost the lives of thousands of young soldiers.
The event is organized on the occasion of the Centenary of the Battle of Ortigara: the bloody confrontation in fact began on 10 June 1917 and was a real massacre, much to assert to mount as the "Calvary degli Alpini".
The Conference also falls within the scope of the meetings with the theme "1917: Gallium and the great war told from newspapers of the time."
