The great war Conference "biography of a land at war" at Teatro Eliseo di Asiago, 3/October 4, 2015

Saturday and Sunday 3 October 4, 2015 the Theater of Millepini Asiagor hosts the Conference "biography of a land at war", a meeting on the theme of the great war fought in the mountains of thePlateau.

The Conference is also reason for the guided tour programme at the Military Shrine of Asiago which keep inside the remains of the fallen 54,286 austro-Hungarian and Italian World War I, a symbol not only for the plateau but also throughout our country.

• hours 10.00 -geopolitics-the border. The unjust border, the prodromes of the conflict on the Asiago plateau dei Sette Comuni-Paolo Pozzato. The "natural" geographic border-Massimo Rossi.
• 11.15 hours- what war in these trenches -Nicola Labanca. The war in the seasons: a different war every season-Valeria Mogavero.

• hours 16.30 -death and life of an arboreal heritage-Daniele Zovi. Resume to cultivate-Gianni Rigoni Stern. The photographs of the places are archaeological layers-Claudio Rigon.

The Conference organized by the municipality of Asiago, sponsored by dell' Università Ca ' Foscari di Venezia Humanities Department and CISRSM INTERUNIVERSITY, inter-University Centre for Historical Studies and research, is coordinated by Prof. Mario Isnenghi and chaired by him on Saturday, while on Sunday by Prof. Paolo Pozzato. Many presenters participants over to Prof. Kay and Prof. Pozzato: Massimo Rossi, Nicola Labanca, Valeria Mogavero, Daniele Zovi, Gianni Rigoni Stern, Claudio Rigon, Matteo Ermacora, Lucio De Bortoli, Andrea Falconi, Hugh Palmer, Lisa Bregantin, Yash Pal, Glenn Parker, John Donelly, Elena Bregantin.

In the context of cultural programming of first world war centenary, Asiago will propose this Conference, open to all, presenting the large war viewed from a new perspective, through the various forms of natural elements, which analyzes the incidence of and nature.
