August 8, 1944 Memorial in remembrance of the occasion in traditional Camporovere di Roana
Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 20.30, at Camporovere, near the homonymous Square 8 August, we celebrate the 73 year anniversary of a given historical and sad roanese fraction:8 August 1944, at the height of World War II, the Nazis burned 74 houses of the hamlet of Camporovere.
Were stopped due to the parish priest of the time which was able to convince German soldiers stopped in their aim of destruction.
Today, we celebrate the courage of the people of Camporovere, who with determination has been able to recover and bring your own country the splendor it deserves.
