Theatrical show with Donatella cheerful and Irene Guadagnini

Thursday, 24 August 2017, at Piazzetta Monte Zebio of Asiago will stage the play "and I pedal boat-Women who wanted the bike".

The play will begin at 17.30 and will see the actresses Donna Jolly and Irene Guadagnini, who with great talent and a pinch of irony will tell the stories of some women who just pedaling, challenged prejudice and conquered new spaces and new goals for the female gender: Alfonsina Strange, who in 1924 racing at the tour of Italy with the men taking once and for all, the right to stay in the saddle; the women of the resistance, pedaling have made heroic actions; Antonella Bellutti, Olympic athlete for whom the bike has been excellent professionalism and conscious; until you get to an exemplary story of today.

Even today, in many countries women cannot ride a bike. Why? Maybe because the bike is a symbol and a concrete instrument of freedom and Liberation: collection is a means little controllable (and then subtly subversive), is an extension of the body (and thus potentially scandalous), is inexpensive (and therefore too democratic). But cycling is also game, effort and imagination.

Here then staged a game story about some of the women that just pedaling, challenged prejudice and conquered to WOMANKIND new spaces and new goals – because, in the words of Susan b. Anthony «l' use of bicycles has been instrumental in the emancipation of women more than anything else in the world»

In case of bad weather, the show will be held at Teatro Millepini
