"THE SENSE OF VAIA" - Exhibition with works by Paolo Ceola at the Asiago Prisons Museum

The exhibition will be open from 27 October 2019 to 6 January 2020

From October 27, 2019 to January 6, 2020,the Asiago Prisons Museum will host the exhibition "THE SENSE OF VAIA", organized by the NaturalArt Association.

The exhibition is intended to be an opportunity to remember, just a year later, the catastrophe caused by the Vaia storm,and at the same time represent an opportunity for collective and cultural rebirth of the Plateau, leaving a message of strength and hope.

On the various levels of the museum will be set up the artistic installations of the artist Scledense Paolo Ceola,made from materials from the crashes and woods overwhelmed by Vaia.
Art will meet multimedia,involving visitors with different and stimulating sensory experiences, which become a tool for reflection.


Times

The exhibition will be open:

  • October 27 to December 15, 2019 - Saturday and Sunday only
  • December 21, 2019 to January 6, 2020 - daily

Times: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Dance
Tuesday 29 October 2019 - 3.30pm
Meeting at the Piazzale of the Observatory of Cima Ekar and a short guided hike on the educational path dedicated to Maestro Patrizio Rigoni.
Snack at Malga Campo di Costalunga and concert with Orion Sound.
Following a guided tour of the exhibition "The Sense of Vaia" and dance performances at the Prisons Museum.
Giovanna Denaro plays Vaia's wind.

At the Civic Library of Asiago - Millepini Palace of Tourism: reading the book " The Summer ofNora" with author Laura Novello and creative workshop.

The genesis of the exhibition.
At the council hall of Asiago's town hall.
ArtistPaolo Ceola recounts his creative process, his poetics, the language chosen for each work on display and his rapture with Nature.

Musical performances by Francesco Carta on piano and Luca Nardon on percussion.
Tempus fugit is the desire to steal something from time, to give us a lost moment, forever.

Workshops

AMBIENTAL EDUCATION PROJECT "TRA ARTE ED ECOLOGIA"
Curated by museum worker Lucia Spolverini and in collaboration with the "Patrizio Rigoni" Naturalistic Museum in Asiago

Aimed at all children between the ages of 4 and 12

Each educational activity will be structured by age groups
Cost 5.00 USD (including entrance, guided tour of the exhibition and educational materials)
Minimum of 8 participants

Each parent must sign a child's entry/exit card from the Museum and fill out a release on the right and confidentiality to protect personal data.

LISTEN TO NATURE

Every essence, plant, flower, bush, lichene has its own "personality" where artistic language and natural language meet.

Saturday, November 16 - 4pm-6pm
COMMUNICATE WITH COLORI
Nature also communicates through colors: we discover their composition, where they are found and their message. Human communication also uses colors all the time!

THE MICROCOSM OF AURORA

curated by the Naturalistic Museum.
I introduce myself: "I am Aurora, a unique and special salamander. If in the world you want to look for me, only in the undergrowth of the Plateau of the Seven Commons you can find me!"

THE COMMUNITY OF THE WOODS
The fundamental lesson we can learn from the forest ecosystem is that you can only be strong together. Taken from children's readings.

TREES TALK TO EACH OTHER
The trees are connected to each other. Let's find out what the signals are and how they use to launch messages. We explore non-verbal language by talking how plants do.
