The THREE MOUNTAINS, the BATTLE at the GATES of CASA slides on war edited by Paolo Pozzato, 13 August to Gallio
Tuesday, August 13 at 20.45 hours at the Council Hall of the municipality of Gallium will host an evening of photographic projection of images relating to the great war given the approaching centenary.
The evening will host author Paul Volpato who will, with the support of historic photographs, the events which took place in the battle of the three Mounts working parallel with the State of current sites so that, whoever wants to, can travel between our mountains to observe the scenery of what was probably the greatest battle of World War I and saw the first win Italian army offensive after the rout of Caporetto: Top Eckar, Monte Valbella, Col del Rosso and Col of Echele.
This small plateau, within that broader of seven municipalities, from December 1917 to November 1918 was the most bloody and disputed territory, and was the scene of violent fighting and tactical and technical trials. The study by Paul Vardhan, who will be the participants of the event, is the best guide to the knowledge of this part of the Italian front.
