DESTINATION: Ekar peak - Asiago Plateau and Seven Municipalities (VI)
41 months on the front line, this is the sad record that belongs to the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities.
Here, in fact, during the First World War, fighting took place from the first to the last day of the conflict.
November 4 was declared a National Day in 1922 and celebrates the Armistice of Villa Giusti (1918) which marked the end of the First World War and allowed Italians to return to Trento and Trieste, completing the process of national unification begun in the Risorgimento era.
Indelible traces of what the war was are present throughout the territory. There is no place in the Plateau that does not cross what were once battlefields, cemeteries, entrenchments and military barracks, fortifications.
A journey through history to understand what has been and the evolution of the landscape.
An excursion through the places of the Great War to NOT FORGET AND turn a thought to the fallen in the conflict.

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, hat, gloves.
COST: €15 for the guided excursion per person, €5 for children under 15 years old.
