GOAL: Altar knotto -Rotzo - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI)
The Altar Knotto is an evocative rock formation overlooking the Val d'Astico, whose shape resembles that of a large altar poised between heaven and earth.
This place has always evoked legendary tales that connect nature to the world of popular imagination.
The beauty of this site is also due to the luxuriant flora that surrounds it, which quickly passes from the thermophilic plants of the ridges to the typically alpine arboreal vegetation of our mountains.
A walk through the beech woods and postcard views that accompanies us to discover the legends of the Cimbrian people and the ancient traditions of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities!
There will also be a stop at Punta Altaburg, which has inspired legends of impossible loves, and one at Alta Kugela, a rock formation that has offered shelter to passers-by for centuries.
Reservations are mandatory.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route runs through mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 300 m, there are exposed sections.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: WATERPROOF mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat.
COST: €15 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.
