DESTINATION: Val Lastaro  - Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)

Imagine walking through fir and beech woods and the pastures of the mountain huts where in winter the presence of man gives way to the wild.

The winter air is crisp, caressing your skin and a light breeze brings you the sound of the footsteps of some roe deer that you can now see in the distance.

As your guide tells you curiosities about the surrounding area and the celestial vault, your steps are guided by the moonlight and the stars through an evocative atmosphere.

In the valley, your senses awaken and you feel at one with the surrounding nature. You can feel the winter solstice that has just passed and the slow rhythms of the forest in this season.

A few more steps, you leave the valley and in front of you there is the Po Valley with the Christmas milleluci. A strong contrast between the environment in which you are immersed and the panorama in front of you, yet both generate strong emotions and connect you with the spirit of the upcoming Christmas. 

At the end it is possible to stop for dinner at the Biancoia Refuge for an exquisite typical menu:

• Polenta with cheese and mushroom fondue
• Barley and speck soup
• Grandma's Cake
• Water, wine, and coffee included

Reservations are mandatory. 

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, gloves, headlamp possibly with a fixed red light (we invite you not to use it). 

COST: €15 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.

DINNER COST: 20€ per person for the above menu at the RIfugio Biancoia. The fee is to be paid directly to the venue on the same evening.

MEETING POINT: 5.00 p.m. at Rifugio Biancoia - Via Biancoia, 36062 Lusiana Conco VI - 

We start on foot from the meeting place.
