GOAL: Cima Mandriolo - Asiago plateau
A path through high altitude pastures and fir and larch forests accompanies us to the top of Mount Mandriolo.
They are enchanted places where in winter the cows give up their kingdom to partridges, the alpine hare and many other wild ones of the Alps.
Once at high altitude, an unforgettable view of the Valsugana, the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo and the Alps opens up before our eyes.
A day in the snow and pure immersion in high-altitude nature... to live together a Mountain of Emotions!
Reservations are required.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads through the upper area of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The difference in height uphill is less than 600 m, there are no particularly exposed sections.
TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, cap, gloves, PACKED LUNCH, any cover.
COST: € 20 for the guided excursion per person, € 5 for children under 15 years.
Possible snowshoes and poles rental: € 10 per person.
In case there is not enough snow, we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
MEETING POINT: 9.00 am at the parking lot of the Val Formica Refuge - Cima Larici Asiago VI IT, 36012 Altopiano, VI -
It starts on foot from the meeting place.
