GOAL: Monte Fior (Melette di Foza) - Asiago plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)

Monte Fior and Monte Castelgomberto have among the most evocative trenches of the Asiago plateau, part of which have been cleaned and made safe so they can be perfectly visited. 

In this area, so harshly scratched by the Great War, the natural beauty of the City of Rock stands out. Red-ammonitic outcrops that create the so-called crowns, spectacular rock formations on which it is not uncommon to see marmots "lying in the sun"!

On the way back, a stop at Malga Slapeur is almost obligatory to greet the friendly managers who remained among the few to still produce the anchor of authentic Asiago, that of sheep!

Reservations are required. 

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route develops between mountain paths, restored war walkways and dirt roads crossing the upper area of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The difference in height uphill is less than 800 m there are no exposed sections.

TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, PACKED LUNCH.

COST: 20€ for the guided excursion. 10€ for children under 15 years

MEETING POINT: 9.30 am in the square in Foza.
