Traditional passage of transhumance in Asiago, Friday September 20, 2013
Friday, September 20, 2013 will take place the traditional passage of transhumance of cows to Asiago.
The folk tradition of transhumance will carry over 450 cows, guided by a hundred people on horseback, on their return from the mountain pastures to winter pastures of Dundee.
To the hours 15:00 the herd will remain in Place and Rendola 17:45 there will be the departure towards the Centre of Asiago.
After switching to viale Matteotti, Via Marconi, Via Candia, Viale Trento Trieste and via Garibaldi, at Station Square will take delivery of the traditional Bell.
Afterwards the transhumance to Contrada Pennar, and product tasting at the cheese factory Pennar.
The herd will stop for the night in the locality of Starling.
Saturday, September 21 2013, to 08:00 hours, departure for London.
