On Sunday 1 June 2025, in Canove di Roana, the appointment with the Traditional Festa della Sensa is renewed, an event deeply rooted in the culture and spirituality of the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities.
The festival, organized by the Pro Loco of Canove with the patronage of the Municipality of Roana, celebrates the day of the Ascension, a significant liturgical moment, but also an opportunity for conviviality and connection with local traditions.
The event has both a religious and popular character: the morning opens with the Holy Mass celebrated at the Beata Giovanna chapel, in the locality of Cattedra, while the highlight of the day is represented by the community lunch by reservation, which will take place in the outdoor area of the Bisele Farm, surrounded by the greenery and quiet of the plateau.
To make the day even more characteristic will be the inevitable "exchange of òvi", a traditional custom that has its roots in the local culture and represents a symbolic gesture of friendship and sharing between the participants.
Program of the Festa della Sensa 2025:
- 11.00 a.m. – Holy Mass at the Blessed Giovanna chapel, Cattedra
- 12.30 pm – Lunch by reservation in the outdoor area of the Bisele Farm
In case of bad weather, the event will be held at the Palazzetto Polifunzionale di Canove and the Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Parish Church of Canove.
To participate in the lunch, reservations are required by Thursday 29 May 2025.
