GOAL: Altarknotto (Rotzo) - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI) 

The Altar Knotto is a suggestive rock formation of the Asiago plateau, located overlooking the Val d'Astico, whose shape resembles that of a large altar poised between heaven and earth.

This place has always evoked more or less legendary tales that connect nature to the world of popular imagination.

The beauty of this site is due not only to the suggestive rock formations, but also to the luxuriant flora present that passes rapidly from the thermophilic plants of the edges to the typically alpine vegetation of our mountains. 

A walk through the beech woods and unforgettable views, accompanied by the warm light of the sunset and the stars that shine in the dark mountain sky offers unique emotions, to live in company!

Reservations are required. 

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 300 m, there are moderately exposed sections.

TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, hat, possibly a front torch possibly with fixed red light.

COST: 15€ per person for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years.

MEETING POINT: 6.30 pm at the parking lot of Spiazzo Garibaldi - Via Verenetta, 36010 Rotzo VI -

From there it is necessary to move by car, with own  means of 3 minutes on paved road.

There are no services (WC - refreshment) at the starting point and  not all telephone companies have reception.
