On Saturday 18 July 2026, Enego Outdoor, the E-Bike Rental of the Valmaron Refuge, offers a fascinating guided e-bike excursion through history and nature, to discover the border line that once separated two great European powers: the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Republic of Venice.
The tour "Ancient Borders: the memorial stones" is classified as intermediate difficulty and develops along a very suggestive historical-naturalistic route largely on the border line between Veneto and Trentino, where the boundary stones dating back to 1752 are still preserved today. These numbered stone memorial stones represent a rare example of historical territorial demarcation still legible on the ground.
During the excursion, the expert guides of the Valmaron E-Bike Rental will accompany the participants along the ancient route, telling curiosities and events related to these frontier places, today immersed in the quiet of nature but once marked by tensions, controls and strategic passages.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:30 am at the Valmaron Refuge and includes the return around 12:30 pm, with typical lunch at the refuge included.
The excursion is open both to those who rent an e-bike at the Valmaron Refuge, and to those who use their own. Different rates apply depending on the option you choose (see details below).
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.
Don't miss the opportunity to explore the Asiago Plateau in a sustainable way and discover the regenerative power of nature!
