DESTINATION: the mountain huts of Mount Verena - Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities (VI)
An evocative route leads us to discover the snow-covered pastures of Mount Verena.
Among these little-frequented paths we will be able to breathe the purest air and admire boundless spaces.
They are enchanted places where in winter cows surrender their kingdom to the wild world: capercaillie, alpine hares and many other animals have adapted to live in this mountain environment for thousands of years... well before man brought up here his war herds that were used during the First World War.
We will discover their presence together, taking the time to stop and observe and browse to learn about this high-altitude territory and its evolution over time!
A Christmas Eve in nature awaits you, to experience a Mountain of Emotions together!
Reservations are mandatory.
In the event that there is not enough snow, you will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: waterproof mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, hat, gloves.
COST: €15 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.
Snowshoes and poles can be rented: €10 per person.

NB private parking, parking is conditional on consumption in one of the huts or at the Forte Verena Refuge or on payment of the parking.
