Vèrben Special: Excursion with show and return by candlelight

Destination: Carachighele Cave

Event promoted by the Municipal Administration of Roana and the Pro Loco of the 6 hamlets

The event is part of the program of the Vèrben event: a train of colors.

Accompanied by the last light of the day we descend to the pastures of Monte Erio to discover the wonders of mountain pasture life. 

Step by step, we then enter the coniferous and bronze-colored beech forests to reach the Carachighele cave. An enchanted place where we will be welcomed by a concert of Cimbrian music interspersed with the theatrical story of the legends of the mountains of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities. 

At sunset we will take the way back up the mountain and live the evocative experience of walking by candlelight and reliving the experience of past people

At the end of the event it is possible to stop for dinner with friends at the K2 Hotel Restaurant (after a 7-minute car ride) with the following autumn menu:

• Pumpkin and Leek Soup with rye croutons and cereals;
• Braised Sorana neck with Merlot and mashed potatoes;
• Seasonal side dishes
• Macafame Vicentino with apples, walnuts and raisins
• water, house wine, coffee included
   

Reservations are required. 

In the event of any presence of minors, indicate the age on notes.

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths. The uphill elevation gain is less than 270 m, there are no exposed sections. 

🎒TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate (long trousers recommended), waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, a blanket. To watch the show we will sit on logs that may be damp.

The return to darkness will be carried out with lanterns, you will be invited NOT to use artificial light sources other than those provided.

🫰COST: €3 per person for the guided excursion with candlelight return. 

For organizational reasons, participation in guided candlelight walks can only be confirmed upon reservation and payment of the symbolic participation fee. This fee is requested not only to partially cover the costs of the organization but to guarantee and protect the actual participants. In case of bad weather, in fact, the fee is still retained because the show remains confirmed at covered facilities.

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER THE SHOW IS CONFIRMED AT THE K2 HOTEL RESTAURANT.

COST OF DINNER: € 35 per person for the above menu to be paid directly to the K2 Hotel Restaurant. 

🧭MEETING POINT: in Kemple - on the road that leads to Baito Erio where there are fireplaces and a large parking lot. Precise information will be communicated to those booked the day before the event.
